Based on the production code information found on Wikipedia, this was originally going to be the second episode of The Good Guys. It feels like a second episode.

I imagine that there were some new people tuning into Lie to Me last night thanks to guest appearances from geek friendly performers Enver Gjokaj (Dollhouse) and Alona Tal (Veronica Mars, Supernatural). It’s actually too bad that those new folks were presented with the weakest Lie to Me effort since its summer return.

I’ve been re-watching The Office on DVD this summer in hopes of reminding me how good the series once was. I’ve accomplished that completely, but with TVS in mind, I’m always thinking about how I transfer what I’m watching into some sort of post or feature or whatever else. If you follow me on Twitter — … Read more

If you’d like to check out previous posts in this series, visit the Surveillance Summer Watch page. I’ve had a lot of balls in the air recently, which have prevented me from getting through my viewing of Sons of Anarchy. However, I did recently complete the first season and figured I should at least post something, … Read more

A few months back, Steve Carell sent the internet into a tailspin when he mentioned on BBC Radio that the upcoming season of The Office would be his last. Eventually, we all calmed down and assumed NBC would figure out a way to bring him back. Or at least we convinced ourselves of that. Turns … Read more

I’m sad. I’m sad because this could be the very last time I write about a specific new episode of Party Down, considering Starz still hasn’t decided on whether or not to give the barely-watched series a third season. But I’m also sad because although I knew the production team didn’t write “Constance Carmell Wedding” … Read more

Full disclosure: I hate Entourage. The series rose to heights right when I was perfectly in the demographic wheelhouse, so in seasons one, two and three, I thought it was great. And maybe it was.* I also tore through those seasons quickly on DVD so it didn’t seem anything but a fun few hours with … Read more

I was actually able to watch True Blood live tonight, but I’m not sure that made me feel any differently about the episode. “It Hurts Me, Too” was just as busy, just as ridiculous and sometimes just as boring as the first two efforts. I wish I felt better about the first three episodes, but … Read more

This week I’ll be pretending that I have an Emmy vote and discussing my picks for all the major categories. Once it gets closer to the time that nominees are actually announced, I’ll do an official “picks” column. Today: Outstanding Drama Series! This is it folks. After two weeks, the Dream Emmy Ballot is finally … Read more
